Sophia Thompson was born May 15, 1913 in Downers Grove to Michael and Valeria Sagan. She died April 24, 2010 at Alden of Long Grove Healthcare Center.

Survivors include her son Donald (Sarah Long) Sager; grandchildren Geoffrey (Lisa) and Andrew (Mary) Sager; great grandchildren Joshua, Caleb, Kaili, Hannah and Rachel Sager; her brother Raymond (Patricia) Sagan; and sister-in-law Anne Sagan.

Sophia is preceded in death by her first husband Alfred H. Sager, and her other husband Hiram Thompson; her siblings Rosemary Bogardt, Joseph Sagan, Eugene Sagen; and her parents.

Funeral service and interment is private.
