James T. McCartney was born on May 13, 1935 to Timothy and Renee (nee Warrick) McCartney in Oak Lawn, IL. He died peacefully on April 5, 2010 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
James is survived by his wife Nancy J. (nee Steffen) McCartney; his children, Michael (Diana) McCartney, Lori (Andy) Czarnecki, Jimo (Christina) McCartney, Kathy (Joe Pechulis) McCartney, Danny (Tari) McCartney and Pat McCartney; his grandchildren, Danny, Butch, Mike, Tommy, Tony, Jimmy, Sean, D.J., Kyle, Dylan, Malachi, Niki, Stevi Lee, Lisa, Kellay and Christa; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Skylar and Alexis; his siblings, Sue (Bob) Podolski, Eugene (Donene) McCartney and Paul (Vinny) McCartney, his sister-in-law, Marilyn Burman; and his best friend, Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law-Kenneth Burman
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Saint Mary Parish, 10 North Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Saint Mary Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the McCartney family.
