Glenn Westman was born on May 2, 1930 to Raymond and Faith (nee Perfect) Westman in Chicago. He died on April 1, 2010 at the Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center in Lindenhurst.

He worked his entire career at D.A. Matot in Chicago, an automatic dumbwaiter manufacturing firm. He started as a Draftsman for $1/hour and retired as Executive Vice President in 1992 after a distinguished 44 years! He loved golfing, was a very good bowler and an avid Chicago sports fan – especially the White Sox.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 58 years, Adelaide (nee Scheck) Westman ; his children, Deborah (Raymond) Herr of Hainesville, Glenn (Linda) Westman Jr. of Lindenhurst and Jennifer (Steven) Torretta of Waterford, WI; his grandchildren, Shelby and Courtney Torretta and Corey Westman; his sister, Gloria (Richard) Krocker.

Visitation Monday, April 5, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9 :00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
