Mrs. Popp was a
receptionist at
Stenograph in Mt.
Prospect for almost
20 years. She was a
member of St. Peter
Lutheran Church
where she was
instrumental in
forming the “God’s
Special Friends”
Bible class. Jane
was a volunteer for
those with special
needs and autism and
she was an animal
lover.
Jane is survived by
her husband of 28
years, John M. Popp,
Jr., whom she
married September
27, 1980; her
daughter Janelle
(Douglas) Henry of
Seattle, Wash., her
son Jason of
Palatine; her father
Richard G. Norak.;
her sister Jean
(Fred) Riley; nieces
Christine (Nick)
Ridgeway, Jill and
Madeleine Popp,
nephews Fred
(Kimberly) Riley and
Jeff (Andrea Denike)
Popp; she is the
great aunt to
Maranda Riley,
Mikayla, Malina and
Michael Ridgeway and
Brennan, ; her
mother-in-law
Shirley Popp; and
her brothers-in-law
Joe (Kim Mallory)
and Jim (Fran) Popp.
She is also survived
by her beloved pets,
many of whom she
rescued, Reilly,
Casey, Stormy,
Alley, Lucky, Kruger
and Jingles.
She is preceded in
death by her mother
Shirley E. Norak and
her father-in-law
John M. “Jack” Popp.
