John C. Bopp

John C. Bopp was born May 12, 1926 in Chicago to John and Catherine (nee Breit) Bopp. He passed away on April 4, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Bopp was employed as the Director of Training at U.S. Gypsum until his retirement in 1990.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary (nee Kading), whom he married on May 10, 1952 in Chicago; Loving father of Timothy Michael (Mary Anne Benden) Bopp and Mary Frances (Jeff) Graunke; devoted grandfather of John, Kevin, Johanna, Erin, Jenna, Ryan and Danny; dear brother of Robert and Irene Bopp and Margaret Davidson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jakob, George, Frank, Joseph and Gemma Bopp and Helen Applehense.

Visitation Tuesday, April 14, 2009, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to John C. Bopp Scholarship Fund, C/O Holy Trinity High School, 1443 West Division, Chicago, IL 60642.
