Peter N. Martini

Peter N. Martini was born April 19, 1933 in Arlington Heights to Peter M. and Helen (nee Tossman) Martini. He died April 7, 2009 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

A proud veteran, Mr. Martini served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary council in Arlington Heights. He was an organ and tissue donor to Gift of Hope.

Peter is survived by his wife Marilynn (nee Halstead), whom he married June 18, 1955 in Arlington Heights; his children Terry Martini, Cathleen (Patrick) Reilly, Mary Ellen (Robert) Zamost, Robert (Kathleen) Martini; his grandchildren Kevin (Joanna), Jamie, Daniel, Amanda, Brendan, Danielle, Katelyn, Caroline; his sister Janet E. (Hans) Graf and by many nieces and nephews.

Peter is preceded in death by his sister Maurine Martini and his parents.

Visitation Monday April 13, 2009 from 3-9 PM, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Tuesday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary’s Catholic Parish 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at_St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
