Carmela R. (nee Loiotile) Selvaggi was born March 27, 1928 in Italy to Franco and Maria (nee Pavone) Loiotile. She died April 26, 2008 at Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park.
Mrs. Selvaggi belonged to the Italian St. Amatore Society. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carmela is survived by her children Rosa (Joe) Perrone, Frank (Angela) Selvaggi, Maria Barajas and Josephine Selvaggi; her grandchildren Carmela (Harold) Heinisch, John (Elena Laudando) Perrone, Michael Perrone, Frank (Nicole) Perrone, Mike (Anita) Selvaggi, Maryann (David) Graham, Tony Barajas, Carlo Perrone, Mikey (Andrea) Barajas, Claudio Perrone, Diana Barajas, Olivia Mazzulla; her great grandchildren Juliana and Francesco Selvaggi, Harry and Hunter Heinisch and Elisa Perrone; and by 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Carmela is preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Selvaggi, 1 brother and by her parents.
Visitation from until 3-9 PM, Tuesday April 29, 2008 at The Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Wednesday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment at All Saints Cemetery.
