Florence Sering was born on December 28, 1913 in Chicago to William and Josephine (nee Hoffenstoch) Hansen. She passed away on April 16, 2008 in Arlington Heights.
She is surviveed by her daughter, Susan (John Patrick) Treacy of Evanston, her grandchildren, Kellie Demling, Anne Flynn, Sean Treacy and Elizabeth Treacy, her great-grandchildren, Colleen and Jillian Demling and Molly and Lucy Flynn and her daughter-in-law, Barbara (Ed) Kneisl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred Sering, her son, Bruce Sering and her brothers, Willard and Leroy Hansen
Visitation 3-8 PM Sunday at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights and from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM at the St. John Chapel at Lutheran Home & Service, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Indiana University Foundation, c/o Bruce A. Sering Scholarship, P.O. Box 500, Bloomington, IN 47402.
