William “Bill” Hayden
of Lake Villa
Bill entered this life to William & Marilyn Hayden in Highland Park, IL on January 25th 1959 and went home to our Lord in Heaven April 9th 2008.
Bill was united in marriage to his best friend Lynn (nee Harrington) on February 28th 1981. They were blessed with a son, Michael on July 3rd 1989. Though Bill was afflicted with the rarest of diseases, Von Hipple-Lindau Syndrome for the past17 years, he never let it define him as a Husband, Father or Friend. All of which he excelled at. Bill’s courage and his positive outlook on life in the face of adversity was an inspiration to his family and friends. Bill never complained or engaged in self-pity and he didn’t let the disease damper his enthusiasm for classic cinema, a good book or the Chicago Cubs.
Besides his adoring wife Lynn and devoted son Michael, Bill leaves behind his brothers Ken Hayden, Keith (Elsa) Hayden and Robert (Idelma) Hayden, sister–in-law Cathyrne (nee Harrington) (Tom) Lambert, brothers-in-law Scott (Patricia) Harrington and Dale (Ilene) Harrington, “Grandma Pat” Harrington, his adoring nieces and nephews, Jeff and Kate Harrington, Darren Nordstrom, Jackie Lambert and Jesse, Andrew, Job and Ian Hayden, and his cat, Sylvester.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn Hayden and his In-laws, Don and Shirley Harrington
Visitation Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Funeral service 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment Arlington Heights-Wheeling Township Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL
Bill’s family would like to sincerely thank the numerous Nurses, Doctors, Paramedics, Hospital staffs and therapists that lovingly cared for Bill during his valiant battle.
