Carl “Fred” Fredrick Hart
Of Arlington Heights

Carl Fredrick Hart was born on February 12, 1934 in Eldon, IA to Dess and Minnie Mary (nee Canny) Hart. He passed away on April 4, 2008 in Evanston.

Fred was a veteran of the Navy having served during the Korean War. He is a long time member of the American Legion Post 208 in Arlington Heights. He was a retired graphic arts-lithographer. A devoted husband and loving father, Fred enjoyed painting, fishing and spending time at the Barn in beautiful Colon, Michigan. He will be remembered for being a creative and ingenious person.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail L. (nee Grundhoefer), his children, Timothy M. (Wendy) Hart of Wheeling, Wendy S. (Will Tieman) Hart of Haslett, MI and Terence D. (Melinda) Hart of Palatine, his grandchildren, Allison, Matthew and Lauren Hart, Matthew, Paige and Audrey Tieman and Tess Marie Hart, his siblings, Harley (the late Lucille and the late Billie) Hart, Eugene (Maxine) Hart, Bonnie (the late Charles) Dickens, Alice (Jerry) Yarrington and Stanley (Lois) Hart and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Orville (the late Margaret) Hart, Ernest (Suzanne) Hart, Maxine Hart, Dess Jr. (the late Mary) Hart, Pauline (the late Charles) Lyons, Mabel Caldwell and Harold (Sharon) Hart.

Visitation Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayer service 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 651 W. Washington Blvd., #400, Chicago, IL 60661.
