Emma Broadbent

Emma Broadbent was born July 17, 1912 in Aububon, IA to Emil and Anna (nee Lehrenkrauss) Haeflinger. She died April 2, 2008 in Palatine.
Mrs. Broadbent was employed for many years as a cashier at Roll Drug Store in Rolling Meadows. She was also a member of the Arlington Heights Order of the Eastern Star and a Rolling Meadows Senior Citizen at the Senior Center.
Emma is survived by her children, Nancy (James) Schwab of Cheektowaga, NY and Bruce (Marianne) Broadbent of Rolling Meadows; her grandchildren, Craig Schwab, Amy (Mark) Matuga and Scott Broadbent; and her great-grandchildren, William, Samantha and Mallory.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Broadbent, whom she married on July 23, 1937; her parents; and her eight siblings.
Visitation 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights and from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. Interment private.
