George B. Hauff

George B. Hauff was born

Park, Ill. to Nelson
Franklin and Irene Louise
(nee Buehler) Hauff. He died
Monday, March 31, 2008 at
Lutheran Home and Services
in Arlington Heights.
Before retiring Mr. Hauff
was a traffic manager for
Straton Grain and later
Peavy.
George has been an active
member of the Arlington
Heights community since
1928. He was a WW II, Army
Veteran and member of
Arlington Heights VFW Post
981. He was a member of the
Arlington Heights Masonic
Lodge #1162, Member and
Sunday School Teacher at
First United Methodist
Church of Arlington Heights,
served on the Arlington
Heights Planning Commission
and Zoning Board of Appeals,
the Arlington Heights
Historical Society, North
School Park Organizer,
Republican Precinct Captain
and Area Chairman, Treasurer
of the Wheeling Township
Republican Organization,
Wheeling Township Cemetery
Trustee and member of the
Area Agency on Aging.
George’s survivors include
his daughter Dorothy Carlson
and six nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by
his wife Dorothy nee Helm
and his parents.
