Gertrude Kratz was born on March 21, 1935 in Augsburg, Germany to Hans and Ida (nee Glogger) Wimmer. She died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines.

Mrs. Kratz is survived by her children Rudy (Stephanie) Kratz of Oak Park and Linda (Michael) Nicholls of Pasadena, Calif.; her grandchildren Oskar and Mathias Nicholls, Olivia and Chloe Kratz; and her brother Helmut Wimmer.

Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband Ignaz Kratz and parents.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.
