James Stavros
Of Prospect Heights

James Stavros was born October 20, 1930 in Arlington Heights. He died April 3, 2007 at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago.

Mr. Stavros was a member of the Wheeling Township Democratic Committeemen from 1961 to 1969.

Survivors include his children Helen (Don) Reynolds, Jimmy (Michaela), Tracy (John) Brienen, Kelly (Tony) Cupini and P.J. (Margaret Hanrahan) Stavros; grandchildren, Meghan, Donny, Sean, Brian, Colleen, Jimmy, Aidan, Kieran, Anthony, Elizabeth, Delaney, Meredith, Henry and Calder; sister Ethel (late Erwin) Dahm.

James is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee) Tracy; and his parents Anthony and Helen (nee) Phillips.

Visitation 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Maryville Academy, Marion Chapel, 1150 N. River Rd., Des Plaines. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Elizabeth Stavros Memorial Fund 128 Coolidge Avenue, Barrington, IL 60010.
