Mildred Lorraine “Millie” Borg
Of Grayslake

Mildred Lorraine “Millie” Borg, formerly of Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, Arlington Heights, was born September 4, 1926 in Chicago to Alexander and Harriet (Radke) Piorkowski. She died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at her home in Grayslake.

Mrs. Borg worked at the Carson Pirie Scott, Randhurst store in Mt. Prospect, for over 25 years. She was the Manager of the Lingerie Department and worked in the Bridal registry. She was a member of the Mt. Prospect Junior Women’s Club, past-president of the PTA, member of the Historical Society in Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect, Arlington Heights and Grayslake., member of the Prairie Ridge Quilters Guild, The Questers Club and Project Linus.

Her survivors include her children Walter (Sherrie) Borg of Des Plaines, Bruce Borg of Bull Head City, Arizona and Charlotte Beske of Gurnee; her grandchildren Jennifer and Jason Borg, Maureen, Laura and Brian Beske, Sheree Brussa and James Prince; her great grandchildren Dylan, Jocelyn, Dimitri Prince and newborn Joseph; and her Goddaughter Arlene DeHoff.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Walter H., Jr.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Memorial Mass 10:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, proceeding to Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines for committal prayers.
