Patricia A. Grubbe was born on December 16, 1926 in Chicago to Eugene Joseph and Mary Lily (nee Murray) Mooney. She died Monday, April 02, 2007 in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Grubbe was a loving mother, grandmother and an accomplished musician. She was the music director at St. Mary’s Church in Des Plaines, St. Zachary’s Church in Des Plaines and Queen of the Rosary Church in Elk Grove Village. Patricia played countless weddings and funerals in the Northwest Suburbs. She was also a piano and voice teacher for over 50 years.

Patricia is survived by her children, William (Katherine) Grubbe of Hilliard, OH, Regina (Robert Ramagnano) Besenhofer of Arlington Heights, Thomas (Judith) Grubbe of Barrington, Pamela (James) Hentges of Chevy Chase, MD, Frederick (Mary Duke) Grubbe of Palatine and Patrick (Melissa) Grubbe of Lewis Center, OH; grandchildren, William (Karlye) Besenhofer, Douglas and Christopher Grubbe, Christina Hentges, Peter, Thomas and Katharine Grubbe, William and Sarah Grubbe, and Madeline, Adelaide and Robert Grubbe; her sisters, Germaine (Roland) Nylen and Claire Coughlan; and her sister-in-law, Helen Mooney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Grubbe; her parents and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:30 AM, Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Queen of the Rosary Church, 680 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove for Liturgy of the Word at 10:30 AM. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
