Robert C. Kucera, Sr.
Of Arlington Heights for 47 years

Robert Charles Kucera, Sr., was born March 10, 1938 in Chicago to William and Lillian Kucera. He died March 16, 2012 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

He was a 1960 graduate of The University of Notre Dame. He was a terrific father to his children and a loving grandfather. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling with his family.

He survived by his children, Anne Marie Sablock, Robert C. Jr. (Jolanta) Kucera, and Matthew P. (Kristine) Kucera; his grandchildren, Julia and Nicholas Sablock, Mark, Helena, Nicole, and Amanda Kucera; and his brothers William Jr. (Blanche) and Ronald (Camile) Kucera.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife Virginia (nee Zittnan) Kucera, whom he married April 8, 1961 in Chicago.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday March 20, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment is at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
