Nora B. Dobbe
Of Arlington Heights

Nora B. Dobbe was born February 13, 1929 in Iowa City, IA to John and Elsie (nee Hall) Figg. She died March 10, 2012 at her home in Arlington Heights.

She was a 1952 graduate from the University of Iowa. She began her career with Proctor and Gamble, then later worked for the University of Iowa as an accountant. In 1969 she moved to Illinois and worked for the Big Ten Commission prior to retiring.

Nora is survived by her husband Donovan G. Dobbe whom she married June 16, 1949; her son Craig A. Dobbe; her grandchildren Carolyn A. and Craig A., Jr. Dobbe; her siblings Neva (late Vern) Haman, Walter (Martha) Figg and Doris (late Meryl) Bartlett and many nieces and nephews.

Nora is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Figg.

Visitation Wednesday March 14, 2012 from 5 PM until 9 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Thursday at Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas St., Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
