Clarence Eltz was born February 22, 1912 in Juniata, Nebraska to Joseph M. and Pauline Rose (nee Olinger) Eltz. He died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Alden of Long Grove.

He is survived by his children, Jeannette (Lewis) Piepenbrink, Benjamin Eltz, and Patricia Eltz; his grandchildren, Debra, Michael, Kimberly, Tracy and Kevin; his seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Clarence is preceded in death by his wife, Marie (nee Karp) Eltz; his parents; and his brother, Herbert Eltz.

Visitation from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM, Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment is at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
