Alton W. Schoonmaker
Of Elk Grove Village

Alton W. Schoonmaker was born August 28, 1928 in Tuxedo Park, New York to Myron and Gwendolyn (nee Goodell) Schoonmaker. He died March 21, 2011 at his home.

Alton served in the Navy during WW II. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, he especially enjoyed making his own fishing equipment.

He is survived by his wife Anita (nee Yenadios); daughter Lorainne (Mike) Soderlund and his grandson James M. Soderlund.

He is preceded in death by his brother Myron and by his parents.

In State Friday March 25, 2011 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness. Burial at Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.
