Janet W. Grant
Of Arlington Heights

Janet W. Grant was born on September 10, 1949 in Chicago to Rudolph and Elsie (nee Vikre) Weber. She passed away on March 22, 2011 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Janet was a lifelong resident of Arlington Heights. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1967 and from Grinnell College in l973. Janet was involved with Fund Raising with Friends of Clearbrook and was a member of an Arlington Heights PEO chapter where she was active in the Christmas House walk. Janet was a consummate entertainer, a creator of games, a lover of books and gardening and cooking. She cherished gatherings of family and friends in their home.

She is survived by her mother; her son, Christopher (Jayme) Grant; her granddaughter, Lily Jule; her brother Steven (Patty) Weber and sister–in-law Susan (the late Bill) Roy.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Michael S. Grant and her father.

Visitation from 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2011 until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a favorite charity.
