John Kreidich
Of Arlington Heights

John Kreidich was born January 18, 1926 in Chicago to Maxim and Mary (nee Kreidich) Kreidich. He died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Kreidich served in Europe with the US Army during WWII where he met his future bride. He grew up in Chicago and retired from The Hedman Company. John was a deeply spiritual, confirmed pacifist with a passion for gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nela (nee Zunajewa) Kreidich, whom he married October 15, 1949 in Montreal, Quebec; his children, John Jr. (Karen) Kreidich, Lida (Brian Ducko) Kreidich, and Nina (Scott) Haselhorst; his grandchildren, Nila (Corey) Hines, Ian (Kelly) Kreidich, Alek (Paulina) Haselhorst, Sean Ducko, Derek Haselhorst, and Paul Ducko; his great-granddaughter, Sula Hines; and his sister, Vera (John) Lukanich.

John is preceded in death by his brothers, Nick Kredich, and William Kreidich; and his parents.

Visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment is at Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery.
