Of Arlington Heights

Adeline Patricia Samborski Jerzyk was born on March 1, 1920 in Chicago to Stanley and Tekla Samborski. She passed away on March 11, 2011 at Lee Manor in Des Plaines at the age of 91.

Adeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Carl S. (Dodie) Jerzyk, Timothy P. (Megan) Jerzyk, Christine H. (Jerzyk) Cacioppo, Gregory E. (Jennifer) Jerzyk; her sister Loretta (Samborski) Savage; her grandchildren Scott, Jill, David, Sarah, Matt, Bradley, Alyssa, Robyn, Laura and Emma; and her great grandchildren Lauren, Kate, Amaya, Phoenix, Mary, Ryan, Michael, Ann, Diego, Colin, Colby and Aiden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jerzyk, and her daughters, Eloise L. (Jerzyk) Guretz and Donna E. Jerzyk.

Mrs. Jerzyk attended Roosevelt High School in Chicago and married Edward on May 24, 1941. She dedicated her life to raising her children and making a loving home. A breast cancer survivor, Adeline continued the fight by being very active as an officer in the resident’s council at Cedar Village where she lived for over 20 years. The family would like to thank Adeline's cousin, Ron Moore and his wife Joan, for the tremendous support they provided Adeline during her time at Cedar Village and Lee Manor.

In her quiet time, Adeline loved to do puzzles, grow orchids and play bingo. Adeline was a devout member of the Catholic faith at Our Lady of Wayside. Her strong faith was a beacon of light to her entire family. Adeline's family has been her greatest source of pride and joy. In return, she gave them endless love, many laughs, an incredible family memory and the benefit of her tremendous Polish cooking.
