Donald Lee Colson was born May 9, 1931 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Antone Schneider and Margaret (nee Colson) Schneider. He died Monday, February 28, 2011 at Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights surrounded by his family.

Before retiring Mr. Colson was Director of Operations at J.W. Allen and Co. in Wheeling. Mr. Colson was a member of the American Society of Baking (ASB), the Chicago Bakers Club, and the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association.

Donald’s survivors include his children Carla (Sam) Coolidge-Fiorito of Schaumburg, Cheryl (Robert) Landis of Elk Grove Village, David (Pam) Colson of Cary and Christy (Robert) McCall of Cary; his grandchildren Craig (Chantel) Coolidge, Sara (Brad) Hunnicutt, Kristen Landis, Katie Colson, Kerri Ann McCall and Daniel McCall; and his great grandchildren Avery Coolidge and Cole Hunnicutt.

Donald is preceded in death by his first wife Carol nee Hanson and his second wife Patricia nee Beck.

Don’s family would like to acknowledge their appreciation of the support provided by his son-in-law Sam during this difficult time.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Private inurnment ceremony Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto, Wisconsin.
