Lawrence E. Cripe was born on July 29, 1932 in Wallace, Idaho to Everet and Agnes (nee Crowley) Cripe. He passed away on March 23, 2010 in Arlington Heights.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilee (nee Zachman); his children, Stephen (Mary Kaye) Cripe of Sheboygan, WI, Timothy Cripe of Rochester, NY, Thomas (Patti) Cripe of Cincinnati, OH, Susan (David) von Winckler of San Francisco, CA, John (Carmen) Cripe of Denver, CO, Sara (Mario) Marrero of Naperville and Dan (Meghan) Cripe of Round Lake; his grandchildren, Kailyn, Jake, Joe, Sam, Paul, Jane, Lauren, James, Matthew, Alex, Andy and Dylan Cripe and Benjamin Marrero; and his brother, Bruce (Connie) Cripe.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 11:15 AM Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the St. James Building Fund.
