Helga M. Zak was born on February 28. 1943 in Germany to Anton and Anna (nee Ziegler) Staudinger. She passed away on March 8, 2010 in Prospect Heights.

She is survived by her children, Dave Zak of Chicago and Julie (Cory) Chaplin of Palatine; and her sisters, Erika (Duane) Careb and Edith Salazar.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard Zak.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
