Marie Pokriefke was born on March 8, 1920 in Carlisle, WV to Leopold and Josephine (nee Maslonka) Chodil.

She is survived by her daughter, June L. (Thomas) Pazderski; her granddaughter, JoAnne M. Pazderski; her sister-in-law of Josephine Chodil; many nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Genevieve “Gene” Briggs.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Pokriefke; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Josephine) Chodil, Walter (Helen) Chodil, Louis (Josephine) Chodil, Joseph (Eleanore) Chodil and Rudolph Chodil.

Mass 10:00 AM Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Saint Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove. Interment Saint Mary Parish Cemetery.
