was born in Oak
Park, Illinois to
the late Michael and
Estelle (nee Wojcik)
Bonder. He died
Wednesday, March 25,
2009 at Northwest
Community Hospital
in Arlington
Heights, Illinois.
Mr. Bonder was a
graduate of Fenwick
High School and the
University of Dayton
where he received
his MPA. He began
his career as a
Budget Analyst for
the city of Dayton,
Ohio. He became the
youngest finance
director in Illinois
in 1969 as the
Finance Director for
the Village of
Arlington Heights
where he later
became Village
Manager. He later
served as City
Administrator for
Prospect Heights and
did consulting work
for the Village of
Palatine and Village
of Wheeling. Ken’s
honesty, integrity,
loyalty and common
sense will be
remembered by all.
Kenneth was a member

beautiful years,

Indian Creek, Ill.,
his daughter Kendryn
(Dr. Barry)
McDonough of
Morgantown, West
Virginia; he was the
unforgettable Papa
to Connor, Brock,
Quinn McDonough,
Chase and Cole
Bonder; and his
sister-in-law Danita
Stich.
Ken is preceded in
death by his sisters
Bernadette (Nick)
Nemeth, Yvonne
(George) Carlson;
his brother-in-law
Dr. David Stich; his
mother-in-law and
father-in-law Jeanne
and Leonard
Maryanowski.
