Rosemary E. Burke was born on August 31, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to Robert and Esther (nee Haynes) Slade. She passed away on March 7, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Rosemary was and Avid golfer and bowler. She played with the “Chippers” at Arlington Lakes. She also enjoyed reading, crosswords and sudoku puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard K. “Dick” Burke; her daughter, Sandra Burke; and her sister, Louise (Ed) Ellis.

Visitation from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens.
