William R. Schmidt
Formerly of Arlington Heights

William Robert Schmidt was born on January 2, 1936 in Chicago to Ralph G. and Marjorie (nee Williams) Schmidt. He passed away on March 26, 2008 in Arlington Heights.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Dawn) Schmidt of Inverness, Timothy (Mary) Schmidt of Palatine, Michael (Wendy) Schmidt of Moraga, CA and Susan (Daniel) Gross of Downers Grove, his grandchildren, Kendall, Nicolette, Nathan, Riley and Teresa Schmidt and Matthew and Margaret Gross and his brother, Thomas Schmidt of Bellvue, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Therese (nee McNally).

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 450 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment Memory Gardens.

Bill was an Army veteran. He spent his career working for Commonwealth Edison.
