Raymond V. Hackett was born July 25, 1941 in Chicago to Edwin and Mary Catherine (nee O’Hare) Hackett. He died March 24, 2008 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Hackett was an Air Force veteran, truck driver and a Teamster union steward.

Raymond was a devoted husband of Vera Alice (nee Eggebrecht); loving father of Michele (Brian) Bright, Debbie (Gerry) Guilbeault, Kimberly (William) Stepien and Kelly (Daniel) Zurzolo; proud PaPa of Grant, Jacqueline, Garrett, Samuel, Griffin, Justin, Gavin, Ashley, Katherine, Jessica, Kameron and Amanda; dear brother of the late Mary Lou (George) Cummings, the late Joan (Robert) Bransley, the late Edwin Jr., Virginia (James) Kuczma, Anna Mae Bogacki, Joyce (Ronald) Campbell, William, the late James (Pamela), Thomas (Judi), Robert (Carolyn) and Jack (Suzanne); brother in law of the late Mary Lou (nee Allard) Hackett; Fond Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation from 3 until 9 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Friday March 28, 2008, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 Anderson (Anderson & Williams), Palatine for Mass at 10 AM.
