Betty J. Mulcahy was born May 8, 1923 in Chicago to Olaf C. and Mildred (nee Anderson) Olsen. She died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Mulcahy was a homemaker. She resided in Arlington Heights for over 31 years and has been a long-time member of St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church.

Her survivors include her children Mary Lynn (William) Doyle of South Bend, Ind., and Lawrence J. Mulcahy of Arlington Heights; her daughter-in-law Joan Mulcahy; her grandchildren Christine (Kim Johnson) Mulcahy, Michael (Tracy) Mulcahy, Cathleen (Paul Preissner) Mulcahy, Megan, Colleen, Bridget and Claire Doyle; her great grandchildren Katrina, Audrey and Timothy Mulcahy; her sisters Loretta Cosgrove and Alice Kristen and her brother Roger Olsen.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Maurice, her son Thomas and her parents.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:45 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 Anderson (Anderson & Williams), Palatine (www.stov.org directions to church) for Mass at 11:30 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
