Foster B. Roser, Jr.

Foster B. Roser, Jr., formerly of Arlington, Heights was born May 7, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Foster B. and Helen (nee Sherman) Roser. He died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Roser was a life-long employee of General Motors, retiring as a regional manager in 1984.
He served in the Navy during WW II and volunteered for 22 years at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. Foster served on the stewardship committee at the United Church of Christ Rolling Meadows and at the National level for the UCC. He was the chair of the finance committee and also served on the board of directors for the Rob Roy Homeowners association.
Foster’s survivors Include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth A. nee Des Jardins, whom he married March 2, 1951; his daughters Victoria (Ray Hofmann) Simms of Baltimore, Maryland, Melissa (Daryl) Metzger of Streamwood and Pamela (Paul) Geallis of Frankfort, Ill.; his grandchildren Hope, Joshua and Joy Geallis; his brother Sherman (Victoria) Roser; and his niece Wendy Campion.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Andrea Roe and his parents.
Memorial service 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at St. Simon’s Episcopal Church, 717 Kirchoff Rd., Arlington Heights.
