Peggy A. Allen
Of Arlington Heights

Peggy A. Allen, 54 of Arlington Heights, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. She was born on July 16, 1952 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Wallace E. and Irene (nee Flannery) Allen.

Ms. Allen was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Rolling Meadows. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lakeland College, Plymouth, Wisconsin and a Master of Science Degree in Education from Northern Illinois University, De Kalb, Illinois. She participated in continuing education seminars including a summer institute at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

At the time of her death, Peggy was a guidance counselor at Bartlett High School. She also had been a guidance counselor at other schools in Illinois including Buffalo Grove High School, St. Edward High School in Elgin and McHenry Community High School. She was an active member of the Illinois Association of College Admissions Counseling.

Peggy is survived by her sister Kathy (Greg) Johnson of Kenosha, Wisconsin and her niece Lynn (Zachary) Garcia of Gilbert, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and aunts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 3, 2007 with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of funeral service at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
