Of Arlington Heights


Richard F. Lynch, formerly of Elk Grove Village, was born on May 27, 1933 in Chicago to John Joseph and Zelda Marie (nee Leyden) Lynch. He died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Lynch taught for 37 years at Lane Tech High School in Chicago.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joan Helen (nee Ekstrom) Lynch, whom he married on August 10, 1957 in Park Ridge; his children, Kathleen (Joseph) Jurich of Keller, TX, Mary Therese (Brian) McGuire of Arlington Heights, Laura (Kevin) Lynk of Arlington Heights, Susan (Gary) Steiger of Bloomingdale, Richard (Vicki) Lynch of Naperville and Colleen Lynch of Arlington Heights; grandchildren, Jon, Nicole and David Jurich, Megan, Shannon and Breanna McGuire, Brandon and Samantha Lynk, Brittany, Kyle and Morgan Steiger and Mackenzie Lynch; and his siblings, Patricia (William) Kittridge, Miles (Joan) Lynch and Barbara (William) Lohmeier.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Robert Lynch, John (Eileen) Lynch and Mary Jane (John) Coleman.

Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
