Marjorie J. Donnelly
Of Buffalo Grove

Born into eternal life on March 5, 2007, age 95. Marjorie was born in Philadelphia on December 29, 1911 to Matthew and Ella Teresa (nee Sweeney) Donnelly. She is survived by her sister Mrs. Eileen (J. Paul) Holland of San Diego, CA and many nieces and nephews. Marjorie is preceded in death by her sisters, Mae Mattison and Kathleen Ballard and her brother, Matthew Donnelly.

Marjorie was a retired Lt. Commander who served her country in WWII and the Korean War as a Navy nurse. She was a member of T.R.O.A. (Retired Officers). She was a resident of the Buffalo Grove Community for the past 35 years, having lived at Cambridge on the Lake until 2001 and at Sunrise Assisted Living of Buffalo Grove until her death. Marjorie was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church and belonged to the Young at Heart group and taught religious education. She was also involved in the “Read to Me Grandma” program at Edgar Alan Poe Elementary School. Marjorie loved her cats.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Buffalo Grove and Vitas Hospice Care for all their support and wonderful care of Marjorie.

Visitation 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines.
