Helen L. Thomas, formerly of Venice, Florida and Park Ridge was born January 27, 1923 in Chicago to Ralph W. and Florence (nee Olson) Beart. She died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Her survivors include her husband of 63 years Mark Thomas, whom she married May 30, 1943; her children David (Joanne) Thomas of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, Suzan (Dennis) Paulson of Crest Hill, Ill. and Carolyn Bannister of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; her grandchildren Gregory (Rhonda) Thomas, Cynthia (William) Hutchison, Sally Thomas, Steven (Nancy) Paulson, Andrew (Alicia) Paulson and Jennifer Paulson; her great grandchildren Hollie and Samantha Thomas, Elizabeth, David ‘Jack” and Hope Huchison, Susan, Jacqueline and Lindsay Zienty and Max and Brooke Paulson; her sisters Ruth York and Grace Juel and her sister-in-law Helen Beart.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert.

Visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Friday, March 9, 2007 from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral service 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Home & Services, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights. Private burial at Little Sister Cemetery, Sister Bay, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lutheran Home and Services.
