Martin Bernard “Marty” Roberts

Martin Bernard “Marty” Roberts was born October 15, 1923, in Chicago to Martin Bernard Kruizenga and Mildred (nee Cuthbert). He died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Before retiring Mr. Roberts was a traffic manager for Acco Corporation and formerly with Field Container Corp. He served in the Army during WW II.

Marty’s survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lorayne nee Smith, whom he married June 26, 1948; his children Marti (Kenneth J.) Drase, Jacqueline (Feryl) Waldenmyer; Susan Roberts, Susanne (Thomas) Balla, and Donald (Susan) Roberts; his grandchildren Matthew Drase, Joshua (Joanna) Waldenmyer and Scott Waldenmyer, Stacy and Jason Balla, Ryan and Michael Roberts; his brother Kenneth (Lloydette) Roberts and his sisters-in-law Mary McCracken and Giselle Roberts.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers John and Donald.

Funeral services and Interment are private.
