Wanda Malecki
Formerly of Mt. Prospect for 33 years

Wanda Malecki was born January 9, 1911 in Chicago to Frank and Anna Wawrzyniak. She passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Sunrise Church Creek Rehabilitation Center in Arlington Heights where she lived since June of 2000.

Wanda worked for the City of Chicago on the northwest side as a crossing guard for 18 years. She and her late husband worked at the Park Place Senior Nutrition Site for 12 years.

She is survived by her son Robert (Janice) Malecki of Wheaton, her
daughters, Marilyn (Roger) Berggren of Arlington Heights and Carol (David) Preusen of Park Ridge, her grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Kevin and Kristen, her great-grandchildren, Derek, Ashley, Jeremy, Nicole, Kevin Jr., Carolyn and Ryan, brother-in-law and friend, John Koldras, many nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter whom she married in Chicago on June 16, 1934, her brother, Stanly Wawrzyniak and her sister, Mary Koldras.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment will be private
