Catherine E. “Cathy” Gibbs (nee Mann), 33, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, surrounded by family and friends at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights despite the heroic and compassionate efforts of her doctors and nurses in the ICU. Catherine died suddenly, the result of a severe infection, less than 24 hours after hospitalization. Her family is most grateful to them and marvels at their dedication.

A celebration of life will be held for Catherine at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2006, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, and at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Born on February 11, 1973 in Arlington Heights, she was the beloved wife of Anthony M. Gibbs, whom she married on August 9, 1997 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palatine. She was the devoted mother of James D., 6, and Melissa A., 3. She was the cherished daughter of Edward and Virginia Mann of Arlington Heights and loving sister to Thomas (Alexis) Mann of Omaha, NE. She was a most loved daughter in law of Michael and Jo Gibbs of Arlington Heights and and sister in law of Gwendolyn (David) Hart of Arlington Heights. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, extended family, numerous friends and neighbors will always carry her in their hearts. She touched so many.
