Noreen Pelican

Noreen Pelican (nee Leahy) was born August 4, 1940 in Chicago to John and Helen (nee Keane) Leahy. She died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center.

Before retiring in 1997, Mrs. Pelican was a nurse with Northwest Community Healthcare Center for over 15 years. She was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church.

Noreen is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Pelican; her children Edward (Jeanine) Pelican, Joan (John) Pohodich, Joseph Pelican and Mary Pelican; Nana of Abby and Grace Pohodich; and her sisters Joan (Tony) Lamela and Margaret Leahy.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Wednesday, March 8 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
