Gladys Faflik
Of Palatine

Gladys Faflik was born March 11, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to John P. and Josephine (nee Hegler) Gravette. She died February 28, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Faflik began working for Jewel-Osco in 1967, with her six children in school, and continued with Jewel for 35 years. She worked at five differed stores in Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove and Hoffman Estates before retiring in 2002. She received many honors as "Cashier of the Year" while with Jewel.

Gladys is survived by her children, Linda (Mike) Karlovitz, Connie Faflik, Donald Thomas Faflik, Jr., Michael Faflik, John (Christine) Faflik, and Kathryn (Andrew) Novak; her grandchildren, Anthony, Daniel, Nicholas, Jennifer, and Katie Marie Faflik, and Anne Karlovitz.

She is preceded by her husband of 53 years, Donald T. Faflik and her parents.

Funeral service 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Visitation Sunday from 1:00 until time of service at 5:00 PM. Interment is private.
