Oliver Blix
Of Arlington Heights
Oliver Blix, longtime resident of Arlington Heights, died Thursday after
a brave battle with cancer. He was born Feb 19, 1921, in Chicago.

Nelson in 1949, then moved to Arlington Heights in 1955. Ollie
worked as an inventor for Tractor Lift; a foreman for Blix Masonry, and

always the builder and inventor, from Erector sets and balsa wood
airplanes to PBY's, forklifts and buildings. After retirement, he
custom-made interiors of vans that he loved to travel with the family,
and later just Wannie, across the country.
