Robert B. West
44 year resident of Arlington Heights

Robert B. West was born July 29, 1921 in Kansas to Harvey T. and Maude Louise (nee Winkler) West. He passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Robert worked for Recon Optical, as an optical engineer for 38 years until his retirement in 1989. He was also an Army veteran of World War II.

Robert is survived by his wife Marie (nee Farina), whom he married May 21, 1960 in Melrose Park, Illinois; his children Wayne West of Schaumburg, Alan (Jacqueline) West of Lake in the Hills, Barbara Kimball of Chicago and Diane (Thomas) Pernicone of Lake Villa; grandchildren Corey, Stacie, Courtney, Dominic and Vincent.

Mr. West was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harvey T. (Jeanne) West, Jr.

Prayers will be held 8:45 AM, Saturday at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for a Funeral Service at 9:30 AM. Visitation Friday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Burial will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
