Of Niles

Florence M. Cook was born August 17, 1921 in Chicago to James and Anna (nee Nierzwicki) Tortorella. She passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Kindred Hospital in Northlake.

Mrs. Cook was a dedicated homemaker, raising 3 children. She was a loyal voting judge in her district.

Florence is survived by her children Barbara (Dennis) Hobbs of Half Moon Bay, California, James (Donna) Cook of Hoffman Estates and Sharon (William) Pfeiffer of Woodstock, Illinois; grandchildren Lori (Jeff) Mangano and Jeff Cook; great grandchildren Ashley and Anthony Mangano; brother George Tortorella of Arlington Heights.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Willard J. Cook, as well as her parents.

Services for Florence M. Cook will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, at St. John Lutheran Church of Niles, 7429 Milwaukee Ave.(about ½ mile north of Touhy Ave.) Burial will be in Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.

Visitation Sunday from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
