Oliver H. Thelander
53 year Resident of Arlington Heights

Oliver H. Thelander was born October 12, 1916, in Chicago to Oscar and Ruth (nee Flood) Thelander. He died Monday, March 7, 2005 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Thelander was a licensed professional engineer and former owner of Meters and Controls Inc. He was an active Life member of the Arlington Heights Elks Lodge #2048, past commodore of the Lauderdale Lakes Yacht Club, a member and director of the Lauderdale Lakes Improvement Association and a past director of the Wisconsin Federation of Lakes.

His survivors include his children Mary Jo Thelander of Mt. Prospect, Donald M. Thelander of Arlington Heights, M.E. "Peggy" Thelander of Mt. Prospect, Carol J. (Charles) Prazma of Elk Grove Village and Sheila M. (Richard) Tesar of Grapevine, Texas; and his 4 grandchildren Katherine, Aaron, Michael and Lisa.

Oliver is preceded in death by his wife Mary Virginia.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Visitation Wednesday, March 9, 2005 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., with and Elks Service at 7:30PM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
