Jean Hess
Of Arlington Heights

Jean Hess was born August 23, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA to Vernon and Susan (nee Stoner) Brumbaugh. She passed away suddenly February 20, 2013 at her home in Arlington Heights.

Jean was a Lab Specialist for G.D. Searle Pharmaceutical from 1946 to 1955 and a medical supplies coordinator for Northwest Community Hospital from 1972 until 1999. She was a bridge enthusiast and club member, an avid reader and library patron, and a regular participant at the Senior Center.

Jean is survived by her children Nancy (Norman Amos) Hess and Donald (Diane Lank) Hess, by her sister Marjorie Bush, and by her longtime companion Harry Schultz. She is preceded in death by her husband William O’Neill Hess.

Memorial visitation is on Friday, March 1, beginning at 5:00 pm with service at 7:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 1903 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Hts. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
