Dolores E. Haldeman

Dolores E. Haldeman was born on June 27, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Alex and Emilie (nee Loeffler) Schmidt. She died peacefully at Church Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arlington Heights, where she received excellent care on Saturday, February 9, 2013.

Dolores will forever be remembered by her smile, kindness and loving nature. Devoted to her family and faith, she is an inspiration to us all. Dolores was a wonderful baker and loved sharing her baked goods with neighbors, friends, and family. While busy raising a family, she was also the manager of Thomas and Rand Middle School cafeterias where students and staff enjoyed her home style cooking. After her retirement, she and Bruce had fun traveling with friends, but most of all loved spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by her loving children, Charles (Joni) Haldeman Jr., Patricia (Larry) Larson, Edward (Pamela) Haldeman, and Carol (Michael) Jedd; grandchildren, Breton (Richard) Owen, Scott (Heidi) Haldeman, Todd Haldeman, Hannah and Hailee Haldeman; great-grandchildren, Rogan and Everly Owen, and Aubrey Haldeman; sisters, Ella (Donald) Haack, Betty Riemer, Carol (David Grody) Altman; and by many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Charles Haldeman, Sr., her parents; brother-in-laws William Riemer and George Altman Sr.; nephew George Altman Jr. and loving niece Donna Kamka.

Visitation Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. In State Thursday, February 14th, 2013 from 10:00 am until time of the 11:00 am Funeral Service at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive Street, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. .

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
