Edward George Hopper, CLU was born on September 2, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Vreeland and Edna (nee Staffel) Hopper. He died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 while vacationing in the Caribbean.

Mr. Hopper worked as a salesman for State Mutual, Allmerica Financial and Met Life during his 54 year career. He was a volunteer for the Frontier Days festival, a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club, member of MDRT. Edward served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his spouse of 26 years Judith (nee Lonze) Hopper; his children Edward L. , Mark E. and Steven E. Hopper and Mary L. (James) Bloniarz; his grandchildren Ericka, David and Randy Hopper, Stephanie and Michelle Williams and Nicholas Bloniarz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Doris.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Prayers 9:15 am, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Funeral Home proceeding St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment private.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1905, or to Elks National Foundation, 2750 N. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614-2256.
