Maria Filippi

Maria Filippi was born July 14, 1926 in Biled, Romania to Peter and Katharina (nee Mumper) Breitenbach. She died February 26, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Maria is survived by her children Rosemarie (Edward) Fechner and Roland (Karen) Filippi; grandchildren Jason Fechner, Lisa (David) Woods, Garrett (Suzanne) Fechner, John Filippi and Kathryn Fechner; great grandchildren Erik and Grace Woods and by her sister in law Elisabeth (late Philip) Stumpfhauser and family.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband Karl Filippi whom she married October 14, 1950.

Visitation will be held February 28, 2012, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.). and Wednesday February 29, 2012 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Chapel at The Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights. Entombment Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church and School, 260 N.
